Apple iPhone 4S Hits the World

TOKYO, Oct 14 — Apple Inc’s new iPhone went on sale in stores across the globe today, prompting thousands to queue around city blocks to snap up the final gadget unveiled during Steve Jobs’ life.
Queues wound down the street in Sydney, Tokyo, London, Paris and Munich as fans gathered to get their hands on the iPhone 4S, ahead of later store sales in North America.
The new model looks similar to the previous iPhone 4 but has an upgraded camera, faster processor and highly regarded voice-activated software, which allows users to ask questions. The phone — introduced just a day before Jobs died — was initially dubbed a disappointment because it fell short of being a revolution in design, but glowing reviews centred around its “Siri” voice-activated software have helped it set a record pace in initial, online sales orders......

NEW YORK -- A faster iPhone with better software and an improved camera went on sale Friday as hundreds of buyers camped out for hours to be among the first to get one.

(CNN) -- Apple fans -- including co-founder Steve Wozniak -- lined up on Friday morning for a chance to buy the iPhone 4S, the latest in the company's line of "Jesus Phones," which includes many under-the-hood improvements.

Bali Earthquake 13th October 2011

One little girl had her camera set on the table and was taking video when the earthquake happened.

The 6.0-magnitude quake rocked the main tourist district of Kuta for several minutes, said Endro Tjahjono from the Bali office of Indonesia's Meteorology and Geophysics Agency.
"There was panic -- everyone ran out of the buildings. When we returned to our office building, we saw some cracks on the wall and plaster had come off the walls," he told AFP.
Kuta's Sunset Road was hit hard, with hundreds of tourists fleeing from malls, restaurants and supermarkets.
"Hundreds of people ran onto the streets. It was chaos. So many people tried to drive off that the traffic came to a standstill," said Reno Permana, who works for a mobile phone service and ran from the third floor of his office building when the quake hit.
"Part of the wall on the Carrefour supermarket near my building came down, and tiles from the roof fell and smashed into the parking lot. A lot of the buildings are badly damaged, with windows smashed in."
Indonesia sits on the Pacific "Ring of Fire", where the meeting of continental plates causes high seismic activity, and is frequently hit by earthquakes.

World Sight Day 2011 (WSD 11)

World Sight Day 2011 (WSD 11) has the official, global date of the second Thursday in October, which this year falls on the 13 th. It will be marked by organizations and institutions around the world, in many different ways, on or around the date..

What is World Sight Day 2011 (WSD11)?
World Sight Day (WSD) is an international day of awareness, held annually on the second Thursday of October to focus attention on the global issue of avoidable blindness and visual impairment. This year, there is no global theme for World Sight Day 2011 (WSD11), which we hope will allow each participating organisation to use the occasion to highlight its own priority areas, in ways which will resonate with their own target audiences.

According to WHO estimates:

  • 286 million people are visually impaired
  • Of these, 39 million are blind, and 246 million have moderate or severe visual impairment
  • YET 80% of blindness is avoidable

  • 90% of people with visual impairments live in developing countries
  • Almost 65% of visually impaired people are over 50 years of age
  • 19 million children are visually impaired

Seks Islam, perangi Yahudi untuk kembalikan seks Islam kepada dunia

An extract on the back cover reads, in Bahasa Malaysia: “Selaku pemimpin roh, kebolehan yang Allah izinkan kepada mereka ialah boleh serentak dengan semua isteri-isteri melakukan hubungan jenis. Manakala kalau isteripun orang roh, lagilah hebat. Ke mana-mana terbang untuk atau sambil melakukan hubungan sulit itu dalam keadaan lebih nikmat dan lebih ringan dibanding dengan perlakuan yang menggunakan fizikal. Untuk itulah Abuya sedang proses isteri-isterinya ke arah roh.”
In English: “As a spiritual leader, Allah has granted him the ability to have simultaneous sex with all his wives. And if the wife is spiritual, the sex is greater. They can fly anywhere for sex, it is more enjoyable and easier compared to physical sex. For that reason, Abuya was processing his wives towards the spiritual.”

357 women break longest bikini parade record

Dedication: 357 women donned bikinis on Australia's Gold Coast to set a new world record

The Guinness Book of Records may have had its knockers over the years.
But few attempts to grace its pages have been so eagerly anticipated or well attended as this 357-strong Bikini parade at Surfers Paradise on Australia's Gold Coast.

The event, sponsored by the Surfers Paradise Alliance and the Gold Coast Bulletin, needed to attract 332 bodies to beat the previous record for the longest bikini parade set on the Cayman Islands last year.

And the tough job of checking the contestants were wearing the correct swimwear fell to Australian Guinness World Record adjudicator Chris Sheedy.

He said:  'Today 361 girls walked through the counter but there had to be a few disqualifications because they were not wearing bikinis.
'Unfortunately for the Cayman Islands they have had their record smashed because 357 walked through the count today.'

Pride: Guinness World Records adjudicator Chris Sheedy holds the official certificate

We did it! A jubilant woman points up at the counter showing the attempt to break the Guinness World Record for the longest bikini parade was a success
